Inspiration. Four syllables that can change your world. Have you ever been so moved that you found yourself positively changed by that moment? Perhaps a song lyric brings back happy memories and suddenly, without realizing it, you are on your feet moving with the tempo. Maybe a smell has transported you back to a tiny cafe from a long-ago trip or reminded you of a loved one’s perfume, compelling you to try and capture that memory in words or in a drawing — or even to pick up the phone and relive the moment in a conversation.  That is inspiration, and it strikes us all. Inspiration is the soul’s urge to create beauty, and it is what I seek to foster in my daily life and in my work at Artistic Dimensions.

My inspiration is found through art — the art of drawing realistic portraits is among my earliest memories. Through the years I’ve followed my artistic passion and it has taken me on a creative journey that has enlarged my definition of “art” immeasurably to include framing, engraving, photo refurbishing / repairing. history and archival work, and teaching — the Artistic Dimensions of my inspiration.

Inspiration and passion attract like-minded souls. I’ve had the good fortune to work with some of the best artisans in the world and it inspired me to create Artistic Dimensions — to in turn inspire others.
